Rollup Data Blobs

Mechanism

Rollup data blobs are a mechanism for storing transaction data from Layer 2 rollups onto the Layer 1 blockchain in a highly efficient manner. Instead of storing full transaction details in the main chain’s call data, rollups bundle compressed data into a separate, temporary data space. This data structure allows Layer 2 transactions to inherit the security of the Layer 1 chain while significantly reducing the cost of data availability.
