Protocol Security Gaps

Architecture

Protocol security gaps within cryptocurrency, options trading, and financial derivatives often stem from foundational architectural choices. Layered designs, while intended to isolate risk, can introduce vulnerabilities if interfaces between layers are not rigorously secured. A distributed ledger’s consensus mechanism, for instance, represents a critical attack surface, and flaws in its design can compromise the entire system’s integrity. Consequently, a comprehensive security assessment must evaluate not only individual components but also the emergent behavior of the entire architecture.
