Native Token Exposure

Exposure

Native token exposure, within cryptocurrency derivatives, represents the degree to which a portfolio’s value is affected by fluctuations in the price of the underlying native token of a blockchain network. This exposure arises from holding the token directly, or indirectly through synthetic assets, futures contracts, or options linked to its price. Quantifying this exposure is critical for risk management, particularly given the inherent volatility characteristic of digital asset markets and the potential for cascading liquidations.
