Malicious Node Control

Control

Malicious Node Control refers to a scenario where an attacker gains sufficient influence over a significant portion of a decentralized network’s nodes to compromise its integrity or disrupt its operations. This control can manifest as a 51% attack in Proof-of-Work systems, where a single entity controls a majority of the hashing power, or by controlling a supermajority of validators in Proof-of-Stake. Such an event undermines the fundamental security and trust assumptions of a blockchain. It poses a systemic risk.
