Interoperable Solvency

Solvency

The capacity of an entity, be it a cryptocurrency protocol, options trading firm, or derivatives issuer, to meet its financial obligations as they come due represents a core tenet of systemic stability. Within the complex interplay of crypto derivatives, traditional finance, and decentralized systems, assessing solvency necessitates a dynamic evaluation of assets, liabilities, and projected cash flows, accounting for idiosyncratic and systemic risks. Interoperable solvency, therefore, extends beyond isolated assessments to encompass the interconnectedness of these systems, demanding a holistic view of risk propagation and contagion. This concept is particularly relevant given the increasing integration of decentralized finance (DeFi) with traditional financial markets.
