Embedded Device Exploitation

Architecture

Embedded device exploitation within the cryptocurrency ecosystem refers to the unauthorized modification or direct access of hardware-level components, such as cold storage wallets or specialized mining rigs, to intercept sensitive cryptographic material. These attacks circumvent software-defined security layers by targeting the physical trust anchors that facilitate digital asset custody. By compromising the firmware or the secure element of a device, an adversary gains the ability to exfiltrate private keys or manipulate transaction signing processes at the machine level.
