DLOB-Hybrid Architecture

Architecture

A DLOB-Hybrid Architecture integrates a Decentralized Limit Order Book (DLOB) with elements of automated market makers (AMMs), aiming to combine the price discovery efficiency of traditional order books with the constant liquidity provision of AMMs. This design seeks to mitigate the liquidity fragmentation often observed in purely DLOB-based decentralized exchanges (DEXs), particularly for less actively traded assets, and address the impermanent loss risks inherent in AMMs. Implementation typically involves a core DLOB managing order matching, supplemented by liquidity pools that act as counterparties, especially during periods of low order flow, enhancing capital efficiency.
