Digital Asset Staking

Investment

Digital asset staking represents an investment strategy where holders lock up their cryptocurrency to support the operations of a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain network. In return for securing the network and validating transactions, stakers receive rewards, typically in the form of additional tokens. This mechanism provides a yield on idle assets, similar to interest in traditional finance, but with inherent protocol-specific risks. It requires a long-term perspective on the underlying asset’s value.
