Decentralized Block Building

Block

Decentralized block building refers to the separation of block construction from block proposal, a critical development in mitigating the negative externalities of Miner Extractable Value (MEV). This mechanism aims to distribute the power of transaction ordering, preventing a single entity from monopolizing the profits derived from front-running and sandwich attacks. By allowing multiple independent builders to compete for block construction, the process increases transparency and reduces information asymmetry in transaction sequencing.
