Custodial Asset Control

Control

Custodial asset control refers to the situation where a third-party entity, such as a centralized exchange or a professional custodian, holds and manages the private keys to a user’s digital assets. This arrangement provides convenience and often insurance against certain risks, but it transfers direct control over the assets from the individual to the custodian. The custodian is responsible for the security and management of these funds. This model is prevalent in traditional finance.
