Cross-Protocol Risk Interoperability

Interoperability

Cross-protocol risk interoperability describes the systemic vulnerability arising from the interconnectedness of different decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, where a failure in one protocol can propagate across others due to shared assets or dependencies. This interconnectedness means that a security exploit or economic failure in one protocol can trigger a chain reaction across the entire ecosystem. The risk profile of a derivative position is therefore not isolated to its native protocol but extends to all linked protocols.
