CPU Saturation

Saturation

CPU saturation occurs when the central processing unit of a blockchain node or validator operates at its maximum capacity, leading to processing bottlenecks. This state signifies that the CPU cannot handle additional computational tasks, such as transaction validation, cryptographic operations, or smart contract execution, in a timely manner. Persistent saturation degrades network performance, increasing latency and potentially causing transaction backlogs. It indicates an imbalance between available processing power and computational demand.
