Censorship Resistance Challenges

Anonymity

Censorship resistance in cryptocurrency relies heavily on transactional anonymity, though complete anonymity is often unattainable. Layer-2 solutions and mixing services attempt to obscure the link between sender and receiver, increasing operational security against direct targeting. However, analysis of blockchain data, coupled with network graph theory, can reveal patterns and potentially de-anonymize participants, presenting a significant challenge. The efficacy of anonymity techniques is therefore a continuous arms race against increasingly sophisticated chain analysis tools.
