Antifragile Systems

Resilience

Antifragile systems are designed to gain strength and capability from volatility, disorder, and external shocks, rather than merely resisting them. In financial markets, this concept contrasts with robust systems, which are built to withstand stress without changing, and fragile systems, which break under pressure. An antifragile portfolio or protocol improves its performance or stability when exposed to market stress events. This approach fundamentally redefines risk management by viewing certain types of disorder as a source of potential benefit.
